Summary of Sanitation Inspections of International Cruise Ships
|
|
Note: Every vessel that has a foreign itinerary and that carries 13 or more passengers is subject to twice-yearly inspections and, when necessary, to reinspection by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). To ensure a clean and healthful environment, cruise ships must meet the criteria established by CDC. The score a ship receives after inspection is published every 2 weeks in the Summary of Sanitation Inspections of International Cruise Ships, commonly referred to as the Green Sheet. The ship's level of sanitation is acceptable to CDC if it's score on the inspection is 86% or higher. For furniture information, contact: Vessel Sanitation Program, National Center for Environmental Health, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 1015 North American Way, Room 107, Miami, FL 33132 Telephone: (305) 536-4307 Fax: (305) 536-4528 |
